My Business is not a Hobby, it is my Livelyhood, it is what I do, it is work and my time is valuable. I am not a huge facility, I don't board a bunch of dogs and just let them all run together where one could get injured by another. I don't have them in kennel runs and just let them in and out to run on concrete floors. I board dogs in the comfort of my home and cater to THAT dog that is boarding. It gets to go out in a fenced in yard where it can run around and play, splash around in a kiddy pool, or just bask in the sun. If it is too hot dogs are kept inside where they can relax and stay cool.
When it is cool out, they hang out with me on the deck while I have my morning coffee after chorse are done. Since I only take in one client's dog in at a time, the scheduled days are very important and are blocked off specifically for that one client's dog. On account of resent events I have finally been pushed to the point where I have had to make changes to protect my buisness from people that have made me lose income due to me having to turn clients away because someone else booked the same days needed for boarding, then to have the first people cancel last minute or just not be able to make up their mind, all for me to end up losing income from both parties because the people I had to turn away ended up boarding elsewhere. I am now taking a non-refundable deposit to HOLD dates for scheduled services. It will be a % of what the total bill would be for whatever days and services are scheduled. Payment will be made at the time of the Meet & Greet for new clients and at the time of scheduling for established clients. Sorry if this is an inconvenience but it has been an inconvenience for me losing income because of people not commiting to the dates they requested. Thank you to the recent new clients that have put their hold deposits down for the days booked in July and August. I appreciate your business and understanding of this new development.
